Headlight Restoration Pricing

Headlight restoration costs $99 to $249. The exact quote depends on what your headlights need, not a one-size-fits-all package. Send clear photos and we will confirm the price before work begins.

Straightforward pricing

The current service range is $99-$249

This is the real range for HB Headlight Restoration services, not a teaser price or a crossed-out sale. Your photos help us see the condition and confirm the right scope.

Why quotes are different

What changes the price?

A lightly hazy headlight is a different job from peeling coating, deep weathering, tight access, or a previous DIY attempt. We price the work that is actually needed.

One headlight or both

The number of headlights included in the agreed service affects the quote.

Cloudiness and oxidation

Light haze, heavy yellowing, chalky oxidation, pitting, and deeper surface damage require different preparation.

Peeling or failed coating

A peeling coating or old clear coat may need more careful removal before the surface can be refined.

Previous DIY work

Sanding marks, uneven polishing, leftover coating, or a headlight that quickly turned yellow again can change the plan.

Lens shape and access

Headlight size, curves, surrounding trim, and how easily the lens can be reached affect the work involved.

The service selected

Vapor Restoration and Ceramic Protection are available for suitable headlights. The confirmed service is reflected in the quote.

What your quote covers

  • A review of the visible headlight condition and agreed scope
  • Reasonable protection for nearby paint and trim
  • The preparation and exterior service confirmed for the vehicle
  • A final inspection and relevant aftercare guidance

If the in-person condition is different from what the photos showed, we discuss it before any changed work begins.

When restoration is not the right repair

Exterior restoration does not repair cracks, broken tabs, failed seals, moisture inside the assembly, damaged reflectors, bulbs, or wiring. Those problems need another repair or replacement, not a more expensive restoration package.

Restoration or replacement: compare the actual problem

Restoration can make sense when the cloudy, yellow, or oxidized damage is on the outside of a functioning headlight. Replacement becomes the better path when the assembly has structural, internal, seal, reflector, bulb, or wiring problems.

Restoration pricing

The $99-$249 range reflects the visible condition, preparation, number of headlights, access, previous work, and selected service.

Replacement pricing

Replacement varies by vehicle, headlight technology, part source, labor, aiming, and any required calibration. We do not quote replacement assemblies.

Send these photos for a useful quote

  1. A front view showing both headlights
  2. One close-up of each cloudy, yellow, peeling, or damaged area
  3. A side angle that shows the surface texture and reflections
  4. Your vehicle year, make, model, city, and ZIP code

Daylight photos without filters are best. They help us spot obvious outside damage, but some conditions still need to be confirmed in person.

Headlight restoration pricing questions

Is $99 the price for every vehicle?

No. $99 is the low end of the current $99-$249 service range. The condition, number of headlights, previous work, access, and selected service determine the confirmed quote.

Why can peeling coating or a failed DIY job cost more?

Old coating, uneven sanding, scratches, or leftover product can add preparation before the surface is ready for the agreed restoration or protection service.

Do both headlights have to be restored?

Not automatically. We assess what is visible and the quote states whether one or both headlights are included. Headlights often weather at similar rates, so photos of both are useful.

Will I know the price before work starts?

Yes. We review the condition and confirm the agreed price before the service begins. If the in-person inspection reveals a different problem, we discuss it first.
